Human Development and Family Sciences – Gerontology
Human Development and Family Sciences provides students with a concentration of courses related to the care and advocacy for the older adult. Because of the rapid pace at which our society is aging and the high percentage of older adults, careers in this area are increasing in demand. A graduate from this program is prepared for a career in administration, advocacy and care of older adults.
The Child Development major within the Family Life Education program provides students with a strong foundation on the growth and development of young children and the importance of parent education, play, and assessment when working with families.

- Apply knowledge of family life education research to serve the community.
